The Alzheimer’s Association - Greater Michigan Chapter was founded in 1981, and we serve 60 counties. Our headquarters is in Southfield, we have offices in Alpena, Flint, Grand Rapids, Marquette, Midland and Traverse City. Services are available to more than 140,000 individuals who have Alzheimer's disease or other related dementias, and their families.
There are over 5 million Americans living with Alzheimer's disease, and and of those, 170,000 are Michiganders.
Programs and services are made possible through contributions from individuals, corporations and foundations and 78 percent of the funds raised by the Chapter are used for programs, services and research efforts.
